The Bible
Don't take our word for it! Begin reading the Bible yourself. Start in the Gospel of John. You will be amazed at how quickly you catch on to what the Bible says. This is because God's Spirit helps open our eyes to what God has to say when we read His book.

Can't afford a copy of the Bible? You can begin reading one right on the Internet (http://www.biblegateway.com/), download your own copy for free (http://www.e-sword.net/), or email us and we'll send you one.

While there are numerous Bible translations available today, this web site quotes the most common one in use (the King James Version). Contrary to popular opinion, differences in modern translations (The ones not produced by the false cults) represent very few problems for readers. New readers sometimes prefer the New King James Version.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. (5) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (6) Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.

Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

John 3:16 & 17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 4:13
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

Romans 10:2,3
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. (3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Romans 10:9-13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

2 Corinthians 5:17
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Note: The term new creature is best rendered "new creation."

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
